I Talk About My Writing Both Past And Present And Future

Starting my new site and writing again is so good for me but also uploading and reading my writing from 2010 has brought lots of thoughts into my head and questions.

Was I better At Writing In 2010?

After reading some of my old writing, I now realise just how good I was at writing in 2010, some of it is just amazing. I would say back then I was a better writer then now, although at the same time I have not had a real proper good go at writing like I clearly did back then. My last proper try at writing was when my mother was dying and when she died so I dare say I would not have been on top form then as would be expected. Reading the detail in my writing from 2010 is enlightening and the words and descriptions I used are so good. My story The Ghostman was my first try at writing a good proper story, before that as a child I was always creating fantasy characters and story ideas but I was too busy reading or gaming to write and I never had the confidence to try, I was always low on confidence and the bullying at school made things hard. My first Ghostman story clearly had some grammar issues but the ideas were amazing. My second piece of writing The HeartBreak Commission was where I clearly stepped things up a gear and also with my third - The Ghostman Two. My writing from 2010 clearly has so many similarities to my writing this last two years.

How My Ideas From 2010 Appear To Be So Alike To My Ideas This Last Two Years

In 2010 The GhostMan I wrote about a ghost world’s which was other world’s separate from our own. In 2010 The HeartBreak Commission I wrote about a dream world and in 2023 I created writing about Dream Worlds separate from earth. So both in 2010 and 2023/24/25, other worlds or dream worlds was the same kind of idea.

In 2010 my writing was a cross between science fiction and fantasy and that is just as true today. My writing from 2023/2024/2025 has so far been the same and a cross between Sci-fi and Fantasy.

In 2010 my writing had erotic writing in it as well as love in it and in 2023/2024/2025 my writing still has erotic writing in it and love in it. My HeartBreak Commission has some truly dirty writing in it and its so bloody good. So the sex, love and erotic writing was present back in 2010 as it is today.

In 2010 I used the name Angel and DarkAngel as well as writing about castles, queens, swords and that type of thing and also in 2023/2024/2025 I used the same names like Angel and wrote about castles etc.. In 2010 I also created odd names for characters like Alpha, Mega, Lord Snugglbum and Ghostman in 2010 and also in 2023/2024/2025 I created odd names like Dream Maker, Seal, Lost and Fate. My odd use of names were the same in 2010 as they have been today.

In 2010 I wrote from several different character angles where I switched between different characters and also switched between what I call first person(e.g.: I did that.) and what I call third person(e.g.: Ghostman did that.) This style of writing was ever present in 2010 and also was present in 2023/2024/2025. My writing in 2010 and its style is the same as it is today.

My Summery

I would say it is very clear that my style of writing, my ideas, concepts and methods of writing both in 2010 and today are pretty much the same. I would say that in 2010 some parts of my writing was perhaps a little childish where today I am older and wiser and yet the quality of my writing in 2010 I believe was better than most of my writing these last few years. Ideas wise I was just as good at creating ideas in 2010 as I am now.

The Future

Currently I am writing my Maidens Of Power quick writing which I call quick because it has no pre planning and is written fast and goes where it goes at the time of writing. It is uploaded in parts as I write it. I am also working very slowly on my novel:

Jake And The Dream Angel: Book One – Dream Maker! Which is again a combination of Sci-fi and fantasy and includes a Dream World. The main character’s are Jake Alex Evander and Mia Angelina Janus, Jake on earth and Mia in the Dream World. Here are two small sample’s of my newest writing:(Apart from Maidens Of Power.)

Mia stood at five foot six and was an angel with beautiful blonde hair, she was wearing her usual white leather outfit, her wings attachments were pink today and her shoes were red high heels. “Machine hows things today?” she said out loud, she often would get no reply and always wanted to call the machine something different then just “Machine,” but was always told that it was not aloud. “All is good my angel, another key, another day,” the machine said in a deep male metallic voice. “Oh that's alright then, do you ever get to know the keys, can you see them?” she asked smiling, not like she expected a reply. “No I have never needed them, my code works and selects a new key when one on Earth dies, I just get the notification,” the machine replied. Mia smiled, “Could I ever go and see Earth?” she asked. “No, not unless we have an emergency and then you would only be able to stay a short time to collect the keys, that would be your duty, lets hope we never get an emergency,” The machine said emotionless.

“Wake up Jake, wake up,” a female voice said gently before an alarm sounded that pulsated louder, softer and louder still. “Wake up Jake, wake up,” the voice said. The system was analysing Jake Alex Evandar, a twenty eight year old male, it was his birthday today. “Happy birthday Jake, wake up Jake,” the voice said. The high-tech specialist device was now a standard in most newly built homes and controlled a customisable part of a person or families everyday life. The system was called the C.L.O.D. which was short for customisable, life options drive. Jake was just about to wake up to this system. Jake had owned his apartment for a whole year now and had bought it with the credits he had received after his adopted parents had died the in the summer of 2042. He had never been close to either of his parents growing up and had left living with them at a young age. Jake had often wondered about who his real parents were. At the age of thirteen his adopted parents had told him that they were not his real parents and that there appeared to be no record of who his real parents were.

So I have my site blog to keep writing on, my novel to keep working on and I so hope I can write again as good as I could in 2010 because that writing was very special to me and it was very good. Please try and read my work as that would mean a lot to me. Thanks so much for reading.
