What Is Rocket League?

I mean I really enjoy playing the game and its great for my hand eye coordination. Its a free game, there is a battle pass as the game is done in season’s. There is also a free battle pass for those not willing to pay giving you some extra things. I don’t bother buying it any more as I have lots of parts for the cars I can customize anyway. Its such a fun game and I feel I am pretty good at it considering I am approaching forty-nine years old. My best result was winning a diamond level tournament two seasons ago. I play for fun but mostly play alone in two’s or threes and play competitive or tournaments. There are casual modes and other crazy modes to play also. All you do is control cars that can act like rockets and can jump and fly a little and try and get the ball in the oppositions goal or stop them from from getting it in yours. Its not an easy game though and requires some technical moves to reach higher levels. Its so much fun with good music and its multiplayer and so you do play against real opponents. You don’t need a top level internet connection either as it works okay even with a not so amazing connection, I mean I use mobile data. The cars and graphics are cool if not that realistic but they often have special events where they link up with famous brands like batman. They currently have a Lewis Hamilton bundle in the shop, yes they have an item shop where you can buy cars and other items. You also you get some blueprints for cars where you can get special version for cars, wheels etc. There is a trading option where you can trade your items for other items and take a gamble on what you may get in return. I would say the game is not for everyone but it certainly is a pick up and play kind of game where if you don’t know what to play just whack this on and have fun.

Graphics, Sound, Gameplay

Well as its an Epic Game it uses the unreal engine for graphics and they do look great and the music is wicked as are the sounds effects. Its a quality title and it shows. The music is added to often and makes for a good feel good experience. The game is pretty much the same ever game apart from some of the extra modes. The main gameplay is two v two or three v three or one v one. You can play with friends if you wish and make your own teams to compete with which is cool if you have gaming friends. The game is fun but does not offer any storyline or long term objectives other than what is in the battle pass. There is voice chat if you want it but you do not have to use it and it can be turned off. Overall its a fun game that can be played anytime and once you learn it, its like riding a bike. Some of the more technical skills require a big investment in with practising and training(Yes there are training modes too.) but you don’t need them to have fun.

Summery

Rocket League has been around for a while but it still holds strong in the multiplayer gaming scene. It is the fun and skill factor that keeps people playing. You can do as good or as bad as you want to, it doesn’t matter as long as you enjoy it. The seasonal updates are never much different but the gameplay is always the same and certainly provides a fun car football game. Its a shame Epic don’t add more to this game but it certainly won’t stop been played for years to come.
