The Ghostman(My 1st try at writing a story back in 2010)

This was my first try at writing a story and I posted it on an online site and people loved it and I had fans. I will post two chapters every few days or something so keep an eye out for the next chapters. After writing The Ghostman I wrote Ghostman 2: Divided Destiny and there was a third story which never got finished.

PROLOGUE: MY SAD LIFE

I was all alone in my living room just sat there, nothing to do. There was nothing on television and I was so bored. I lost my job a month ago as a top genetics engineer/researcher. Since then my wife helen left me and took my kids with her and haven't seen them since, police cant find them. I got up from the sofa and took a look in the mirror, I looked shocking!........

 My sad life; That's what it is, my life. I needed to do something. I decided to run a bath with bubble bath and have a good soak, with dark thoughts running through my mind. I stayed in the bath for a long time until the water and I was too cold.

Dr Sango was deep in thought looking at the computer screen and the dials and meters. “Dr the signs are not looking good” said a small man in a grey jumper and black trousers who had no hair. “The accelerated program has not responded well to our additions has it?” replied Dr Sango. “no sir the overdream system is struggling to carry data with the magnetic emotion pool so strong” said the bold headed man with a frown on his face. “time for system shut-down I think and reboot in 24 hours” said Dr sango as he paced around the lab. “sir that could lead to ghostworld dying and that would mean the end to the project!” said the bold man in a panicky voice, “I wont do it sir, I just wont!” he went on to shout. “If you wont, I will” said the doctor as he drew his laser pistol and pointed it at the bold man, and fired. “stupid little man” said Dr sango to himself “stupid little man” he walked to the main computer and put in all the required passwords then selected SYSTEM SHUTDOWN then a ladies voice rang out “system shut-down in 10 seconds, 9 seconds, 8 seconds........”

CHAPTER1 – CRAZY - EMPTY

Next morning, I was determined to get myself out of my house and do something, I didn't. I got up and dressed and got my wallet. I picked up my fancy leather jacket, that I had not worn in such a long time. I headed for the front door, it was stuck! I unlocked it, locked it again, unlocked it, several times but it wouldn't open. Very confused I tried the back door, it wouldn't open either. Am I going mad I thought to myself, am I going crazy? I tried the doors again and again but just couldn't get them to open. I was getting very worked up so I tried to open the front room window, it was stuck too. After I tried to open all the windows, and failed, I sat down and cried, shaking.

After an hour I stopped crying and rose up and picked up the pretty flower vase and threw it at the window, it broke, the vase that is. I then picked up the TV in my rage and tried that and it broke too. I went crazy and mad and smashed my flat up. I couldn't stop crying but then out of my bleeding eye - which I cut on the ironing board which I threw at the room window – I spotted a man in my garden out the back window. I screamed at him and banged on the window “HELP!, HELP ME PLEASE.. HELP ME!!” I pleaded, but he didn't even see me, he took a piss in my garden then walked away.

Dr Sango had a pleasant evening watching pre-recorded episodes of Home&Away and Neighbours while drinking straight whiskey and smoking cigarettes. He loved Australian soaps they were just so compelling and he wished he was there with all the lovely people in soap-land. He went to bed late as his nineteen year old girlfriend turned up, she was dressed in a red leather all in one outfit, which to be honest made her look quite silly, but that didn't stay on for long.

Next morning he awoke and left his girlfriend sleeping and headed straight for the lab. His staff at the lab had all been notified of there contract termination by text message. Dr sango parked his car himself then went to the security gates and typed his password details in and the gates swung open and he was then at the main entrance. After putting more password details in the main door opened and allowed him entry, such tight security measures were needed as the secrets within were too huge for mankind to know about, not yet anyway. Upon entering the Dr powered up the main console, so quiet in the lab now. The doctor pondered what would happen in a few hours when he booted the system back up, all could be lost or won. He began inputting settings on the main console ready for boot. After all was in place he checked the genetic bio domes and the particle transfer system as well as the picture of his dead lover.
